Director of Provider Contracting

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States

Base pay: $121,200–$225,200 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and implement methodology for competitive provider contract pricing.
• Maintain a broad statewide network of hospitals, physicians, behavioral health, and ancillary providers.
• Direct contracting and provider relations activities, including network directories, provider databases, and reporting.
• Collaborate on enterprise network strategies and initiatives.
• Oversee annual budgets, allocate resources, and manage operational projects.
• Develop business cases and conduct cost-benefit analyses to support investments and return on investment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of healthcare or health insurance experience, including 4 years in contract administration and facility or provider relations; alternatively, 14 years of relevant experience with the same 4-year specialization.
• At least 4 years of management experience, including hiring, performance management, change management, and professional development.
• Expertise in reimbursement methodology and facility/provider contracting methodologies.
• Financial acumen, budget oversight experience, and experience with financial managed care contracting.
• Negotiation, contracting, analytical, strategic thinking, presentation, and communication skills.

• Master’s degree.
