Optical Manager, Non-Certified – Sam’s Club (Optical)

Location: Onsite at Sam’s Club, 3333 N US Highway 75, Sherman, Texas 75090, United States

Hourly wage: $24.50–$36.50 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

Walmart and Sam’s Club operate retail facilities and provide optical services through Vision Centers.

What you will do

• Drive Vision Center sales through merchandise presentation, competitive pricing, signing, inventory availability, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Lead customer service and resolve member and customer concerns within company standards.
• Supervise, hire, train, mentor, assign, and recognize Vision Center Associates.
• Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, safety controls, asset protection, quality assurance, and confidentiality requirements.
• Consult with customers on eyewear, take measurements, verify prescriptions, perform minor frame repairs, and maintain optical equipment.
• Build stakeholder relationships, measure performance, implement improvement plans, and support community outreach.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of college, or one year of retail experience plus one year of supervisory experience, or two years of general work experience including one year of optical experience.
• Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and rules.
• Work onsite at the Sam’s Club Vision Center in Sherman, Texas.
