Software Engineer 3 (Enterprise AI)

Location: Vancouver, Canada. Hybrid role requiring onsite work at least 3 days per week.

Salary: CAD 132,000–198,000 per year, with potential additional compensation including a sign-on bonus, RSUs, and discretionary awards.

What you will do

• Architect, design, and develop horizontally scalable, containerized, fault-tolerant services on Kubernetes.
• Improve system performance for low-latency and high-throughput use cases, including low-level stack optimization.
• Build scalable observability architectures for collecting, analyzing, and reporting platform metrics.
• Contribute to relevant open-source cloud-native projects and technology selection.
• Collaborate with product management and backend development teams across the product development lifecycle.
• Review code and design documents, provide feedback on product specifications, and contribute to technical documentation.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of experience developing maintainable, modular, resilient, and fault-tolerant software in a product development company.
• Strong programming fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and experience with Go and Python.
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native technologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of data center design, distributed computing and storage architectures, virtualization, operating system internals, networking, and performance monitoring.
• Experience with on-premises, cloud, and hybrid deployment architectures and high-performance system software.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with machine learning concepts and frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Experience with hardware accelerators such as GPUs.
• Experience with large codebases, open-source contributions, or multi-tenant services on virtualized infrastructure.
