Developer Relations Engineer (AI)

Location: New York or San Francisco, United States

Salary: $170,000–$230,000 USD per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and/or commission.

What you will do

• Own the global developer relations strategy across technical content, community engagement, events, and education.
• Create documentation improvements, code samples, demos, tutorials, notebooks, blog posts, and videos that support discovery, onboarding, development, and deployment.
• Represent Nscale at developer conferences, meetups, hackathons, open-source communities, AI-native companies, and research groups.
• Connect developers with Product, AI Platform Engineering, and Marketing by identifying friction, gaps, emerging use cases, and ecosystem opportunities.
• Launch ambassador, open-source, research collaboration, training, and community programs.
• Define adoption KPIs and dashboards, test developer education formats, and scale initiatives that improve product-led growth.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in developer relations, advocacy, technical marketing, or developer-focused product roles, with measurable product adoption results.
• Bachelor’s degree in Machine Learning, Engineering, Computer Science, a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong ML and cloud infrastructure background with hands-on experience in GPU compute, distributed systems, Kubernetes, model fine-tuning, and production inference.
• Familiarity with open-source AI frameworks, libraries, and agent-based systems, plus an understanding of AI infrastructure adoption from prototype to production.
• Strong communication skills across technical content, public speaking, open source, and online developer communities.
• Experience measuring developer adoption and engagement, collaborating with engineering, product, and marketing teams, and communicating impact to senior leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with product-led growth motions.
• Industry connections across organizations and communities such as NVIDIA, Hugging Face, PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, Kaggle, Modular, GPU Mode, or the Python Foundation.
