Area Manager Facilities Management & Material Handling Maintenance (m/f/d)

What you will do

• Lead and develop a local team of technicians and a maintenance planner responsible for facility and material handling maintenance.
• Maintain technical building equipment and material handling systems to support operational continuity.
• Plan, schedule, and control annual building services maintenance and coordinate fault and downtime follow-up.
• Develop and execute maintenance concepts and lead local initiatives to improve methods, planning, and operational synergies.
• Manage service-provider compliance with contractual agreements and define performance expectations.
• Prepare monthly maintenance key figures, cost reports, and sustainability information while implementing technical solutions for Operations.

Requirements

• Degree in facility management, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or an equivalent business or technical specialization.
• Several years of experience leading technical teams and strong technical maintenance expertise.
• Profound knowledge of German and English is required.
• Basic knowledge of heating, ventilation, plumbing, electrical engineering, mechanical and electrical systems, and building services equipment.
• Strong communication, planning, organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with contractual processes, supplier performance, repair or refurbishment projects, and coordinating suppliers or internal staff remotely.
