Location: Onsite daily in North Newton, Indiana

Salary: $18.00–$20.00 per hour

What you will do

• Deliver direct instruction in communication, life skills, technology, problem solving, teamwork, professionalism, financial management, self-advocacy, resume writing, interview skills, and job search.
• Assess each student’s strengths, interests, abilities, and development needs, then develop goals and outcomes with the student.
• Support students during classroom learning and work experiences, including job-skill acquisition and job development.
• Teach students how to use public or private transportation and communicate absences or tardiness to instructors and workplace supervisors.
• Provide employers with disability-awareness information and practical supervision strategies.
• Monitor attendance and progress, maintain accurate student files, and communicate monthly with consultants and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Daily onsite attendance in North Newton, Indiana is required.
• Availability to follow the student school calendar for approximately 180–185 workdays.
• Ability to provide individualized instruction and adapt teaching methods, materials, and curricula to student needs.
• Ability to assess and document student progress in classroom and workplace settings.
• Ability to support students with disabilities and advise employers on effective supervision.
