Business Intelligence Developer

What you will do

• Create and support business intelligence tools, reports, physical data models, and dimensional analyses.
• Design, code, test, and aggregate SQL query results for business users.
• Participate in data architecture, data warehousing, and data model development aligned with business needs.
• Drive the Azure Synapse Analytics data warehouse from system design and implementation through maintenance.
• Validate data integrity, monitor system performance, troubleshoot reporting and visualization issues, and respond to analysis requests.
• Collaborate with BI, IT, operations, and business stakeholders on reporting standards, data governance, insights, and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in data warehousing and reporting; 3 years is preferred.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with reporting and data visualization tools.
• Strong quantitative, data analysis, communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret and summarize analytical results clearly, work with detailed data, and maintain a broader reporting perspective.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud-based platforms and tools such as Azure.
• Healthcare data experience.
• Experience with an object-oriented programming language such as Python.
