Senior Data Engineer - ODS (Fintech)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize large-scale data pipelines using Apache Spark, primarily with Scala and Spark.
• Build and maintain batch and near-real-time processing solutions for high-volume data environments.
• Create reliable, reusable datasets for Analytics, Data Science, Machine Learning, and business teams.
• Use cloud data platforms, ideally AWS, to process, transform, store, and expose data efficiently.
• Implement data quality, validation, monitoring, documentation, testing, CI/CD, and automation practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, data science, machine learning, and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Big Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar technical role.
• Production experience building data pipelines in large-scale or complex data environments.
• Hands-on Apache Spark experience, with strong PySpark, Spark SQL, or distributed processing skills.
• Strong Python or Scala coding skills, solid SQL knowledge, and experience with relational or analytical databases.
• Experience designing and optimizing ETL/ELT processes and working with cloud data platforms such as AWS.
• Professional English is required; fluent Spanish is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in banking, fintech, or regulated environments.
• Experience with CI/CD or DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Sonar, Nexus, Jira, or Splunk.
• Experience with Apache Flink, Spark Streaming, Apache Iceberg, Delta Lake, Airflow, or similar tools.
