Senior Data Engineer

Location: Tlalnepantla, Mexico; hybrid role

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines integrating R&D, SAP, digital, and external data sources.
• Transform complex raw data into high-quality datasets for analytics, reporting, AI, and data products.
• Architect and maintain reliable, high-performance data solutions with strong accessibility, scalability, and operational performance.
• Automate data ingestion, processing, monitoring, and deployment workflows.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to deliver data products and self-service solutions with measurable business value.
• Implement data quality controls, monitoring, validation, governance, security, privacy, and compliance practices while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, data platform development, or related technical roles.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for automation and large-scale data processing.
• Extensive experience designing and managing ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or similar data platforms.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data architecture, database design, performance optimization, APIs, event-driven architectures, data governance, security, and metadata management.

Nice to have

• Experience building data products and self-service analytics solutions with tools such as Streamlit.
• Experience supporting AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, or data science initiatives.
• Certifications in cloud technologies, data engineering, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, or similar platforms.
