TL;DR
Senior Data Engineer (AWS/dbt): Building governed data products, pipelines, and services for marketing analytics, machine learning, Generative AI, and LLM-based applications with an accent on Snowflake, dbt, AWS, data quality, lineage, and observability. Focus on designing semantic layers, embeddings, vector search, RAG, and reliable interfaces that enable AI agents to securely use enterprise data.

What you will do
- Design and maintain scalable data pipeline architectures and assemble complex datasets from diverse source systems.
- Build extraction, transformation, and loading infrastructure using SQL, dbt, Snowflake, and AWS data services.
- Develop governed data products supporting analytics, machine learning, Generative AI, and LLM-based applications.
- Work with structured and unstructured data, including semantic layers, embeddings, vector search, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation.
- Design reliable data services, APIs, semantic models, and tool interfaces for production-grade Agentic AI solutions.
- Improve data reliability, observability, metadata and dependency management, and support analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of data engineering experience and a graduate degree in a quantitative field are required.
- 5+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience and 5+ years of dbt experience, including macros and Jinja templating, are mandatory.
- Advanced SQL skills with relational databases and experience with Python, PySpark, APIs, and big data pipeline optimization.
- Experience with AWS data engineering services such as S3, EC2, Glue, Lambda, RDS, or Redshift.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis, debug existing code, and improve data processes and infrastructure.
Nice to have
- Marketing domain knowledge.
- Experience with Agentic AI, agent orchestration, tool or function calling, MCP, context and memory management, evaluation, guardrails, and observability.
- Power BI dashboard development, Agile methodologies, and analysis of unstructured datasets.
- Experience working with globally distributed Agile teams.
