SNAP Quality Assurance Consultant

What you will do

• Observe and analyze state SNAP eligibility operations, business processes, and case processing.
• Review Quality Control findings, performance data, and cases to identify root causes of payment errors.
• Translate findings into improvement strategies, training materials, job aids, policy clarifications, and system or process changes.
• Develop tools and measures to support quality assurance activities and prioritize error-prone cases.
• Advise agency leaders on implementation and change management.
• Coach supervisors, eligibility staff, SNAP directors, and other client stakeholders on improved processes and systems.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of SNAP eligibility policy.
• In-depth experience with the SNAP Quality Control process and error-rate calculation.
• At least 5 years of experience supervising SNAP eligibility staff and/or performing SNAP quality assurance activities.
• Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to work independently with limited in-person supervision while maintaining confidentiality.
