Senior Strategic IT Solutions Architect / Program Technical Lead (DHS)

Location: Hybrid in Columbia, Maryland, United States; three days in the office on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with two remote days. Candidates must be within commuting distance and able to attend regular in-person DHS meetings.

Salary: $115,000–$200,000 per year, plus a $25,000 signing bonus contingent on meeting the specified requirements.

What you will do

• Engage with DHS clients to understand strategic goals, technical requirements, and mission needs.
• Design scalable, secure IT solutions and architectures aligned with DHS requirements and federal regulations.
• Capture technical solutions in competitive federal proposals and contribute to winning strategies.
• Prepare presentation materials and present complex technical solutions to senior DHS leadership.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams of engineers, developers, and analysts.
• Collaborate with Business Development to support account growth, new initiatives, and access to key decision-makers.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success as a Solutions Architect or Program Technical Lead within DHS, preferably with trusted agency relationships.
• Experience developing and presenting complex technical solutions to senior DHS leadership and contributing to successful federal proposals.
• IT or engineering experience in a leadership role such as Technical Lead, Solutions Architect, or Technical Program Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or green card holder and have resided in the United States for the past three years.
• Must be able to attend regular in-person meetings at DHS; the position is not fully remote.
