Director, Energy & Infrastructure Communications

Location: Remote, or hybrid in San Francisco, New York City, Boston, or Chicago

What you will do

• Develop integrated communications programs across earned media, executive thought leadership, owned content, and digital and social channels.
• Manage four to five client accounts, providing strategic counsel and anticipating program needs.
• Lead launches, major announcements, funding news, narrative shifts, creative campaigns, and other business milestones.
• Partner with CEOs, CMOs, and senior executives on bylines, LinkedIn content, speaking engagements, and reactive commentary.
• Write and edit messaging frameworks, brand narratives, thought leadership, long-form content, and social materials.
• Build media relationships across technology, climate, and energy sectors while leading and mentoring account teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience leading external communications, public relations, corporate communications, or integrated communications programs.
• Strong B2B technology background, ideally in energy, infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing, or other technical sectors.
• Experience developing brand positioning, messaging, and narrative platforms for high-growth companies and emerging technologies.
• Ability to independently counsel CEOs, CMOs, and senior executives.
• Track record of securing top-tier and industry coverage across new and traditional media.
• Experience leading teams, mentoring talent, managing multiple priorities, and maintaining high-quality work.
