TL;DR
Junior Accountant (AU Market) (FMCG finance): Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and month-end reporting for global operations with an accent on transactional accuracy, cash collection, and financial compliance. Focus on preparing payment and payroll files, resolving supplier and retailer queries, maintaining reconciliations, and supporting process improvements while working Australian Eastern Standard Time hours.
Location: Philippines; remote. Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM AEST.
Salary: AUD 1,200–1,800 per month, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do
- Manage end-to-end accounts payable processing, invoice coding, supplier payments, statement reconciliations, and supplier communications.
- Oversee accounts receivable activities, including collections, retailer claims, account statements, cash allocation, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare weekly AR/AP reports, general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close support.
- Maintain employee records, prepare monthly payroll summaries, upload payment files, and monitor leave balances.
- Submit payroll tax filings, quarterly superannuation payments, and WorkCover filings.
- Support management reporting, finance process improvements, and system enhancements while collaborating across departments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 2–3 years of finance or accounting experience.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organisation, and time management.
- Advanced Excel and spreadsheet skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively across functions.
- Proactive problem-solving and a solutions-focused mindset.
Nice to have
- Experience in FMCG or retail.
- Experience with Xero and Cin7.
- CPA or CA qualification, or progress toward qualification.
