Assistant Accountant (CFD Trading)

Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Record and maintain cash books, trading transactions, journal entries, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare daily cashflow reconciliation reports and cash position summaries.
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain accounting documentation and support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and identify improvements to reconciliation controls and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of accounting-related experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Experience with AFSL, trading platforms, financial services, or fund management.
• Mandarin fluency.
