Director of Data Governance & Enablement Platforms (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own the enterprise strategy, roadmap, investment planning, and adoption of data governance and enablement platforms.
• Lead data catalog, business glossary, metadata management, data lineage, MDM, RDM, data quality, and data profiling capabilities.
• Deliver self-service experiences, reusable services, APIs, automated controls, and governance workflows across the data ecosystem.
• Establish master and reference data services for customers, merchants, products, partners, suppliers, and other critical entities.
• Partner with data, engineering, security, risk, compliance, and business leaders to operationalize governance requirements.
• Build and develop a high-performing team while managing platform budgets, vendors, service models, and executive stakeholder communication.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in data management, data governance technologies, data platforms, data engineering, or related technology leadership.
• 5+ years leading enterprise-scale data governance, metadata management, MDM, data quality, or data platform initiatives.
• Experience implementing and operating data catalog, metadata, lineage, MDM, RDM, and data quality platforms.
• Expertise with technologies such as Collibra, Alation, Atlan, Informatica, Reltio, or equivalent solutions.
• Experience with cloud-based data environments, lakehouses, data warehouses, analytics ecosystems, data products, and regulated environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field required.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, fintech, banking, or other regulated financial services industries.
• Expertise with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Certifications in data management, governance, cloud architecture, or platform engineering.
• Experience modernizing metadata, data quality, and MDM ecosystems in large global organizations.
• Experience with governance technology adoption programs, Centers of Excellence, regulatory audits, and risk management.
