Techno-Functional Data Governance Specialist (AI & Data)

What you will do

• Develop and implement data governance strategies, frameworks, policies, procedures, classification models, quality standards, and data product management practices.
• Design end-to-end governance solution architectures covering data catalogs, metadata, business glossaries, lineage, data quality, access controls, and data marketplaces.
• Assess client governance gaps across people, processes, and technology, then recommend and implement near-term and strategic solutions.
• Configure and integrate data governance platforms, support data stewardship models, and drive alignment between business and IT stakeholders.
• Lead client workshops, project scoping, estimation, pre-sales activities, RFP responses, proofs of concept, demos, and governance accelerators.
• Design AI-first governance solutions using GenAI, LLMs, and agentic AI for use cases such as glossary enrichment, data quality remediation, and conversational data catalogs.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data management or a data office, leading data governance strategy, implementation, and adoption.
• Experience as a techno-functional solution architect with business-facing and platform-delivery experience for mid-sized or large organizations.
• Hands-on experience with one or more governance platforms, including Databricks Unity, Informatica IDMC, Atlan, Collibra, or Alation.
• Strong knowledge of data warehouse and lakehouse architectures, master data management, data quality management, data integration, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Working knowledge of GenAI and LLMs, including prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, and model evaluation or monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification, with strong communication and client advisory skills.
