Finance Analyst (EdTech)

hirify.global is a fast-growing EdTech startup building a modern finance function from the ground up.

What you will do

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and coordinate with external auditors.
• Contribute to accurate financial reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Assist with operational controlling, including budget planning, forecasting, and liquidity tracking.
• Build monthly reports and translate financial data into clear, decision-ready insights.
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual workflows using AI tools and low-code platforms.
• Prepare decision briefs and support cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be based in Berlin, Germany for on-site work.
• Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must have the right to work in Germany.
• Professional working proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken).
• Degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles and strong Excel skills.
• Experience with financial planning, close processes, or audit coordination.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with German accounting standards (HGB) or IFRS.
• Hands-on experience with low-code platforms or BI tools.
• Prior internship or project experience in finance, accounting, or consulting.
