FP&A / Controlling Lead (m/f/x)

What you will do

• Develop the FP&A and Controlling roadmap, including planning, KPI steering, management reporting, growth investments, profitability, international scaling, and transaction readiness.
• Own annual budgeting, Long-Range Planning, monthly forecasting, and the integrated planning model covering P&L, cash flow, ARR, headcount, and market assumptions.
• Lead Board reporting, Monthly Trading Updates, financing and transaction materials, and the management review cadence.
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and RevOps on pipeline steering, sales capacity planning, quota design, pricing, GTM efficiency, and commercial performance.
• Improve cost steering across functions and entities while driving AI adoption, automation, and modern finance tooling.
• Lead and develop a three-person FP&A and Controlling team and support the CFO with M&A, financing, integration, and strategic finance projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Investment Banking, Transaction Services, or Controlling.
• Experience scaling FP&A and Controlling organizations, building planning models, preparing Board- and investor-ready materials, and developing management steering structures.
• Strong understanding of SaaS GTM, RevOps, and KPIs including ARR, NRR, GRR, CAC Payback, LTV, Burn Multiple, Pipeline Coverage, and Win Rates.
• Expertise in financial modeling, integrated business plans, Excel, and finance systems including ERP, CRM, BI, and FP&A tooling; NetSuite and HubSpot are relevant.
• Fluent German and English; based in Mannheim or Munich with regular presence at the Mannheim headquarters.

• Advisory and in-house experience in an international B2B SaaS scale-up or hypergrowth environment.
• Experience with AI-driven FP&A and Controlling use cases, automation, financing rounds, M&A, transaction readiness, or capital markets readiness.
