Data Engineer (AWS)

Salary: $115,000–$130,000 USD annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Evaluate business needs, collaborate with business partners, and address data systems and management requirements.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, application definitions, and enhancement requirements.
• Participate in project planning, define milestones and deliverables, and track execution.
• Create design, development, test plans, functional specifications, interface designs, and process flow charts.
• Develop APIs and large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines using Python, SQL, Spark, and AWS services.
• Migrate data from on-premises systems to the cloud and perform cloud data conversions.

Requirements

• Experience in data engineering, particularly data pipelines, analytics, and reporting.
• Exposure to AWS Cloud Platform and experience designing solutions with AWS services such as EC2, S3, EMR, Kinesis, RDS, Redshift, Lambda, Glue, Athena, and API Gateway.
• Strong SQL experience, including data transformations and troubleshooting across at least one database platform such as Redshift, Amazon RDS, Cassandra, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or Databricks.
• Experience designing and building data extraction, transformation, and loading processes with custom data pipelines.
• Experience with a scripting language such as Python.

• AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Data Specialty certification.
