Finance Engineer (EdTech)

Location: On-site in Berlin, Germany

Salary: €50,000–€60,000 per year

What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and coordinate with external auditors.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, operational controlling, and liquidity management.
• Prepare decision briefs, monthly financial reporting, and data-driven analysis for growth and investment decisions.
• Automate finance workflows using AI tools, low-code platforms, and smart integrations.
• Support financial modeling for growth and innovation projects and advise the management team.
• Build dashboards, predictive KPIs, and scalable ERP and treasury architecture while partnering with Growth and Engineering.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of finance experience, ideally in Big 4 advisory or a high-growth startup environment.
• Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Solid knowledge of German accounting standards (HGB) and familiarity with IFRS.
• Strong FP&A skills covering budgeting, forecasting, controlling, and liquidity management.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience using AI tools to automate workflows.
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken, are required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with BI tools or low-code platforms.
• Experience building finance processes from scratch in a fast-paced startup environment.
