Quality Control Inspector I (Battery Manufacturing)

Location: Sparks, Nevada, United States; onsite, D-shift nights

What you will do

• Support quality control systems in battery production and inspect cells for conformance to specifications.
• Test random samples of finished goods and analyze pre-production and mass-production cells for safety and performance.
• Collect manufacturing-process data and evaluate sample cell data to reduce defects and improve battery performance.
• Audit defect-prevention activities and support production-quality assurance.
• Report process deviations and finished-goods defects while working with Quality Assurance to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in science or engineering is preferred.
• 1–2 years of quality control or quality inspection experience.
• At least 1 year of familiarity with quality management tools such as control charts, FTA, and FMEA.
• Practical experience with materials analysis, testing, and chemical analysis equipment.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, read product data sheets, and confirm conformance to specifications.
• Working-level English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking; unrestricted authorization to work in the United States is required.
