LLM Prompt Specialist

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Define and lead strategies, patterns, and tooling for prompt design, agentic workflows, and LLM-based application architectures.
• Build reusable design patterns, evaluation frameworks, and developer tooling for multiple teams and use cases.
• Ship and support LLM-powered products in production.
• Design evaluation pipelines for non-deterministic systems.
• Guide technical direction and mentor engineers.
• Apply LLM techniques responsibly, including safety and policy considerations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
• Six or more years of software engineering experience, including significant work on LLM-based applications.
• Production experience shipping LLM-powered products.
• Deep familiarity with modern LLM APIs, agent frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Strong Python skills and experience with modern application frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, plus experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.

Nice to have

• Public writing, conference talks, or open-source contributions related to LLM application development.
• Experience with multi-agent architectures, complex tool-use systems, and fine-tuning workflows.
• Experience with customer support, coding assistant, or analytics agent products.
• Experience integrating LLMs into enterprise software with strict compliance requirements.
