Forward Deployed Engineer (AI/ML)

Location

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA with travel to customer sites as needed.

What you will do

• Own new customer deployments end to end: drive integration, surface first traces, catch failures, and land PRs.
• Embed in customer Slack channels to become the expert on their agent architecture and failure modes.
• Write detection logic and evaluations tailored to customer problems and generalize patterns.
• Open and defend PRs in unfamiliar codebases with customer engineers.
• Represent the technical team in security reviews, deployment architecture, and trust-building discussions.
• Feed learnings back into the product to reduce manual work over time.

Requirements

• 3+ years shipping production software with customer-facing experience.
• Strong TypeScript proficiency and ability to work with unfamiliar codebases.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents in production.
• Experience writing detection logic, evaluations, and observability/monitoring code.
• Ability to rapidly understand new systems and identify critical issues under pressure.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and unfamiliar environments.
• Experience with security reviews and deployment architecture is a plus.
