eDiscovery Forensic Consultant (Microsoft 365)

Location: Charlotte, NC; in-office attendance required 3 days per week

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 annually, with potential eligibility for an annual bonus

What you will do

• Execute defensible collections of electronically stored information from Exchange, OneDrive, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 environments.
• Collect and securely transfer data from network shares using SFTP, FTP, and other secure protocols.
• Use Microsoft Purview and Relativity for data search, collection, and processing.
• Conduct custodial interviews to identify relevant data sources and timelines.
• Maintain chain-of-custody records, data integrity, secure storage, and access controls.
• Coordinate with attorneys, paralegals, Legal, Compliance, and IT teams while monitoring project progress, risks, and deadlines.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of experience in eDiscovery or digital forensics.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, especially Purview and Exchange.
• Direct experience with Relativity or a similar review platform.
• Experience with SFTP, corporate data networks, file-share structures, and forensic tools such as FTK.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work from the Charlotte office 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• CEDS or a similar certification.
• PowerShell or Python scripting and automation experience.
• Experience with EnCase or Falcon imaging.
• Knowledge of legal hold systems such as Exterro and eDiscovery compliance frameworks.
• IT experience with corporate email, data, and network systems.
