Senior Data Quality Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA

Salary: $150,000 – $250,000 USD annually

hirify.global is an early-stage AI/ML startup building infrastructure for reinforcement learning environments and post-training data.

What you will do

• Lead the data quality team in building systems to evaluate tasks across RL environments, benchmarks, and workflows.
• Define data quality strategy by designing QC systems, enforcing standards, and grading agent outputs.
• Develop methods for validating synthetic data at scale, including failure-mode analysis and trajectory auditing.
• Partner with research engineers and domain experts to diagnose quality issues and improve generation workflows.
• Turn research insights into production-grade internal tools, dashboards, and validation pipelines.
• Mentor research engineers to maintain high technical rigor and execution speed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in research or data quality engineering for AI/ML.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, Docker, and Linux.
• Track record of leading technical teams or projects on ambiguous problems.
• Experience designing metrics, experiments, and QA/QC processes.
• Prior early-stage startup experience.
• Must be able to work on-site in San Francisco.
