Backend or Fullstack Developer (AI)

Location: New York City, hybrid; 4 days onsite, or 3 days onsite if located more than 1 hour away

Salary: $140,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Integrate modern LLMs into real-world healthcare applications in collaboration with Product.
• Design and build end-to-end systems spanning data pipelines, AI workflows, and user interfaces.
• Develop AI-centric systems optimized for performance and reliability.
• Build evaluation pipelines and define metrics for AI agents and workflows.
• Deliver high-quality features quickly while collaborating across teams in a fast-moving environment.

Requirements

• 0–6 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
• Experience developing AI applications and architecting AI-centric systems with real-world impact.
• Experience with modern AI frameworks and APIs such as LangChain and LlamaIndex.
• Proficiency with SQL and relational databases, including ownership of end-to-end data workflows.
• Experience with AWS deployments and modern LLMs; React or Next.js experience is a bonus.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree focused on AI or a related field.
• Experience with React or Next.js.
• Experience in an early-stage startup environment.
