Associate Scientist, Host Cell Protein (HCP) Analytics

Location: On-site laboratory setting in Tarrytown, New York, United States; full-time standard business hours with minimal to no travel.

Salary: $93,900–$153,300 annually

What you will do

• Purify polyclonal antibodies from rabbit and goat bleeds using affinity chromatography and related workflows.
• Optimize purification protocols to improve yield, purity, reproducibility, and throughput.
• Support ELISA method development, qualification, troubleshooting, and HCP detection and quantitation.
• Prepare, aliquot, and manage antibodies, conjugates, standards, buffers, and other critical reagents.
• Document experiments in the electronic laboratory notebook and provide records for internal reviews, technology transfer, and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with process development, QC, and analytical teams while contributing to laboratory workflow improvements.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related life science discipline.
• Hands-on experience with protein purification, including affinity chromatography such as Protein A/G or antigen-affinity columns.
• Working knowledge of ELISA and general immunoassay techniques.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and collaborate effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site in a laboratory setting during standard business hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with AKTA or equivalent FPLC systems.
• Prior electronic laboratory notebook experience.
