TL;DR
ETL Developer with Pentaho (Pentaho PDI/Kettle and Data Warehousing): Designing, developing, and supporting ETL workflows and data integration solutions with an accent on dimensional data modeling, SQL optimization, and data quality validation. Focus on optimizing ETL jobs, supporting production deployments, resolving data issues, and building reliable extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
Location: New York City, NY; hybrid schedule with 3–4 days onsite
Salary: $60/hour

What you will do
- Develop and maintain ETL workflows using Pentaho PDI/Kettle.
- Design data extraction, transformation, and loading processes for data integration and warehousing.
- Perform data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
- Optimize ETL jobs and SQL queries for performance.
- Support production deployments, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders; prepare technical documentation and participate in code reviews.
Requirements
- Experience with ETL and data warehousing.
- Strong expertise in Pentaho Data Integration PDI/Kettle.
- Advanced SQL and database development experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Teradata.
- Understanding of data warehousing and dimensional data modeling.
- Experience with shell scripting and scheduling tools.
- Knowledge of performance tuning and production support.
Nice to have
- BFSI domain experience.
- Exposure to Python, AWS, Azure, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, and CI/CD practices.
