What you will do

• Advise enterprise stakeholders on the ethical adoption, selection, and operational use of AI platforms.
• Design, facilitate, and analyze Responsible AI tabletop exercises to assess readiness and identify ethical risks.
• Conduct Responsible AI gap analyses for Department of Defense AI systems and develop Courses of Action and project recommendations.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, human factors, legal, and policy stakeholders to align AI systems with ethical standards.
• Support Responsible AI principles, implementation roadmaps, policy frameworks, and governance structures.
• Advise senior leadership and contribute to Department of Defense policy initiatives, working groups, and ethics councils.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Applied Ethics, Artificial Intelligence Ethics, Data Ethics, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of related IT experience, including 5 years in artificial intelligence technology, applications, or policy.
• At least 2 years of cross-disciplinary experience in cybersecurity, human factors, ethics, and policy applied to AI systems.
• At least 2 years of experience designing and conducting Responsible AI tabletop exercises.
• At least 2 years of experience conducting DoD Responsible AI gap analyses and scoping Courses of Action and projects.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Applied Ethics, Artificial Intelligence Ethics, Data Ethics, or a closely related discipline.
• Experience formulating federal or defense AI ethics policy, especially within the Department of Defense.
• Familiarity with the DoD Responsible AI Strategy and Implementation Pathway, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, and OECD AI Principles.
• Experience collaborating with high-level ethics councils or AI working groups.
