Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, VA License - PMHNP - Contract/1099

Location: Remote, Virginia; minimum 10 hours per week.

Salary: $120–$140 USD per hour.

What you will do

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for children, adolescents, and young adults.
• Develop personalized treatment plans and provide ongoing medication management.
• Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families through education, consultation, and ongoing support.
• Monitor progress against care goals, adjust treatment plans, and intervene proactively to maintain patient safety.
• Collaborate with therapists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
• Oversee diagnostic testing and coordinate refills, prior authorizations, records, rescheduling, and HIPAA-compliant documentation.

Requirements

• Active PMHNP license in Virginia required.
• At least two years of independent psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner practice under licensure.
• At least one year of experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults under any nursing license.
• Board certification by ANCC or AANP as PMHNP-BC.
• DEA license and state prescriptive authority license.
• Computer, phone, high-speed internet, Google Suite, EHR, and virtual platform experience; commitment to at least 10 hours per week.
