What you will do
- Develop operations training programs, processes, procedures, and materials for the Natrium Demonstration Project.
- Lead instructors and coordinate training activities with internal departments, project partners, regulators, and external organizations.
- Develop and execute the strategy for initial training program accreditation.
- Apply the Systematic Approach to Training to create curricula for licensed and non-licensed operators, shift managers, maintenance personnel, and technical staff.
- Prepare examinations, trainee evaluations, counseling processes, and individualized training programs for classroom, laboratory, on-the-job, and simulator environments.
- Maintain training accuracy and audit readiness by incorporating plant changes, regulatory guidance, operating experience, and training effectiveness findings.
Requirements
- At least five years of licensed operator training experience or experience as an Operations Shift Manager at a commercial nuclear station.
- Senior Reactor Operator license or certification at a commercial light water reactor is preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Systematic Approach to Training.
- Ability to obtain unescorted plant access.
- Strong verbal, written, technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to satisfy U.S. Government export-control review requirements for technology.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent nuclear power plant experience.
- Knowledge of NRC and INPO training requirements, accreditation, and operator examination development.
- On-shift experience as a light water reactor Senior Reactor Operator or Shift Manager.
- Experience designing innovative training using mixed reality and reduced reliance on lectures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
