Head of Data (PropTech)

Location: Seattle, Washington; hybrid, with 2 days per week in the Seattle office. Paid relocation to the United States is available.

Salary: $250,000–$280,000 base per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Lead Data Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and Data Strategy as one organization, reporting to the CTO.
• Partner with executives and Product to define data capabilities, shape product strategy, and maintain the data platform roadmap.
• Own strategic data assets and the ML roadmap across pricing, lead scoring, propensity, and screening risk.
• Build unified customer profiles, segmentation, and journey tracking for Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
• Set standards for experimentation, success metrics, causal analysis, data governance, quality, and access controls.
• Scale the organization through hiring, coaching, career development, vendor strategy, and data literacy initiatives.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data, including 3+ years directly leading analytics or data science teams.
• Experience partnering with data engineering on warehouse architecture, pipelines, governance, and platform priorities.
• Experience shipping and operating ML-powered features in production.
• Fluency with modern data stack tools such as BigQuery or an equivalent warehouse, dbt or Dataform, and an experimentation platform.
• Hands-on SQL and Python skills sufficient to review data models, metrics, and team code.
• Experience with self-serve analytics, metric standardization, data governance, and cross-functional executive communication.

Nice to have

• Experience in B2B2C, platform, or marketplace products.
• Background in fintech, proptech, real estate technology, property data, or marketplace data.
• Experience governing internal AI or LLM tooling.
• Experience managing globally distributed teams across the United States and Southeast Asia.
