Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Microsoft SSIS and/or Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines.
• Design and optimize workflows that extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability for business analysts and reporting teams.
• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to deliver modelled data, dashboards, and reports.
• Troubleshoot and support existing data pipelines and integrations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, preferably with a focus on Data Science and Analytics, or equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years of data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimizing complex queries, plus an understanding of ETL concepts and data pipeline design.
• Completed Data Science coursework or certification and the ability to collaborate with analytics and business teams.
• Legal authorization to work in Canada as a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or valid Work Permit holder.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain Controlled Goods Clearance and Level II NATO Secret security clearance.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SSIS, Microsoft Fabric, or similar ETL tools.
• Familiarity with IBM Cognos, Power BI, or other BI and reporting tools.
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Pandas, NumPy, or Scikit-learn.
• Knowledge of data modelling and data warehouse concepts.
• Interest in data analytics and visualization.
