BI Engineer (Automotive)

Annual salary: CAD 110,000–120,000

What you will do

• Own the Business Intelligence domain by surfacing insights, solving problems, and supporting data-driven decisions.
• Partner with Product, Sales, Operations, Data Engineering, and senior leadership to improve data quality, availability, and usage.
• Transform large datasets with SQL and scripting languages to generate business insights.
• Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and other experiments.
• Build predictive models, trend analyses, scalable data models, dashboards, and reports using tools such as Domo.
• Improve data pipelines, infrastructure, analytical capabilities, and team analytics skills through mentoring.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and data warehousing.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases such as Snowflake, Redshift, Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT development and data pipeline management.
• Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or Scala.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, governance, dataset structuring, visualization, dashboarding, and advanced spreadsheets.
• Proactive problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Domo, cloud-based data architectures, and security best practices.
• Experience creating data governance strategies.
• Background in data science or machine learning applications.
• Familiarity with API integrations and automation techniques.
