TL;DR

Location: Fully remote; candidates must be located in Canada or the United States.

What you will do
- Design and build AWS-based infrastructure for extracting, transforming, loading, and storing data from care facilities and medical records.
- Develop data repositories, event-based pipelines, transformations, and analytical tools for customer-facing products, internal tools, and business operations.
- Partner with engineering, product management, customer success, business operations, and executives to analyze care trends and improve patient outcomes.
- Ensure data quality and reliability through testing, result validation, monitoring, and technical documentation.
- Work in an Agile environment to plan and deliver new features and products, provide operational support, and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in software or data engineering, preferably in a SaaS or startup environment.
- Experience building and maintaining ETL or ELT data pipelines and data storage solutions.
- Experience with AWS Athena, AWS RDS, Python, PySpark, SQL, data warehouse modeling, and database concepts.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow and data analytics or visualization tools such as Looker.
- Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and attention to data quality.
- Must be located in Canada or the United States.
Nice to have
- Experience extracting data from REST APIs.
- Exposure to Terraform and AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with electronic health records, healthcare data privacy regulations, HL7 data feeds, or the FHIR API specification.
- Experience working remotely with distributed teams.
