CISO (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote within the United States; valid authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Domestic and international travel of up to 50% is required, with 24/7/365 availability as needed.

Salary: $250,000–$275,000 per year, plus potential discretionary bonuses and incentives.

What you will do

• Lead the enterprise-wide cybersecurity vision, strategy, roadmap, investments, and risk-based priorities.
• Advise the CIO and senior executives on cyber risk, emerging threats, regulatory requirements, and business impact.
• Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, governance mechanisms, risk assessments, and audit readiness.
• Oversee cybersecurity engineering, infrastructure protection, security architecture, and Security Operations Center performance.
• Guide secure architecture and development practices across cloud and hybrid environments, including technology selection and integration.
• Build cybersecurity awareness, communicate risk to executives and non-technical audiences, and foster accountability across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive cybersecurity or information security experience, including 3–5 years in leadership or strategic planning.
• Experience leading enterprise-wide security programs and overseeing governance, risk, compliance, security engineering, and security operations.
• Ability to assess complex cyber risks, balance incident response with long-term mitigation, and apply regulatory and legal requirements.
• Strong communication and consensus-building skills with executives, boards, technical teams, regulators, law enforcement, and third parties.
• Must have valid authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience in a shared services or matrixed organization.
• CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or another relevant industry certification.
