Intelligence Production Lead (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid, in-office in Washington DC

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 annual salary for Washington DC-based hires

What you will do

• Own the intelligence production pipeline from research intake through drafting, editing, review, and publication.
• Set the production schedule and release calendar for intelligence reports, blog posts, briefings, and technical documentation.
• Serve as the final quality gate by leading fact-checking, technical-accuracy, and editorial review cycles.
• Write and edit threat intelligence content, translating raw research and technical analysis into clear, actionable narratives.
• Develop and enforce style guides, templates, classification markings, source-handling practices, and reporting standards.
• Mentor writers and analysts and coordinate with security, marketing, design, PR, communications, and external partners.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of threat intelligence experience within the Five Eyes community.
• At least 7 years of combined experience in technical writing, cybersecurity research, intelligence analysis, or a related field, including 3 years of technical copy editing.
• Experience leading a threat intelligence reporting, editorial, or production function and managing review cycles and publication quality.
• Knowledge of intrusion analysis, incident response, malware, adversary TTPs, network defense, OSINT, and intelligence collection.
• Familiarity with the Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK, the Diamond Model, threat actor operations, OPSEC, and secure handling of sensitive information.
• Strong writing, editing, research, collaboration, leadership, project management, and organizational skills; proficiency with Google Suite and content management or workflow systems.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI and LLM tools in research, drafting, editing, or intelligence production workflows.
• Experience managing threat intelligence technical writers, relevant cybersecurity certifications, or a portfolio of published threat intelligence.
• Experience presenting at cybersecurity conferences and familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and structured threat-sharing standards.
