Associate Director, Innovation (Biopharma)

Location: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days onsite per week in North Chicago, Illinois, or South San Francisco, California; 25% travel required.

Salary: $141,500–$268,500 USD per year, plus eligibility for long-term incentive programs.

What you will do

• Drive end-to-end strategic innovation and execution for high-priority commercial assets.
• Partner with asset strategy and deliverable teams across product development, manufacturing, trial design, evidence evaluation, and clinical operations.
• Lead modules within complex cross-functional initiatives, including problem solving, research, analytics, and recommendation development.
• Monitor and prioritize external trends and determine strategic responses for the organization.
• Communicate strategy across hirify.global and support mission-critical initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; an advanced degree such as PharmD, PhD, MD, or MBA is highly preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 4 years with a master’s degree, or 2 years with a doctorate.
• Experience managing large projects in a complex matrixed pharmaceutical organization.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to engage senior leadership, drive strategic alignment, and facilitate critical decision making.
• Capability-building and change-management skills, including empathy and coaching.

Nice to have

• Professional consulting experience in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals.
• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
