Specialist Reinsurance Treaty Underwriting Operations – QBE Re

Location: Midtown, New York, United States; hybrid working expectations. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary: $75,000–$113,000 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus plan.

What you will do

• Support timely operational underwriting activities in line with established guidelines.
• Process, document, and organize policies, submissions, renewals, and other underwriting transactions.
• Prepare, validate, maintain, and manipulate treaty, client, broker, and underwriting data.
• Reflect underwriting data accurately in pricing models and maintain reporting and tracking databases.
• Update client files, follow up on loss-sensitive documents, and monitor collateral.
• Research stakeholder inquiries, recommend solutions, and participate in workflow and process improvement projects.

Requirements

• Moderate relevant work experience.
• Tertiary degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, detail-oriented, and reporting skills.
• Experience managing operational records, data quality, processes, and stakeholder relationships.
• US work authorization is required; the position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
