Sr Engineer, Emerging Device Technology

Salary: $96,500–$183,500 per year

What you will do

• Translate patient, clinical, and business needs into delivery system requirements and strategic considerations.
• Evaluate autoinjectors, patch pumps, continuous infusion systems, connected delivery ecosystems, and other emerging technologies.
• Develop technology landscapes and compare candidate solutions by feasibility, strategic fit, scalability, and portfolio value.
• Support technology down-selection, feasibility assessments, RFP development, budget estimation, and external partner engagement.
• Assess platform opportunities that can serve multiple pipeline assets and contribute to development timelines and progression decisions.
• Distill complex information into recommendations and align CMC, asset, commercial, and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in mechanical, biomedical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong working knowledge of design control and combination product and device development.
• 12 years of product development experience with a BS, or 8 years with an MS or MBA; ideally including 3–8 years in medical devices and drug delivery.
• Experience spanning feasibility, design, development, verification, and validation.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced, evolving environments; travel may be required at 10%–20%.

• Experience with delivery system platforms.
