Senior Software Developer (Java/Spring Boot)

Location: Remote within the United States; US citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of high-performance enterprise web applications.
• Build backend services with Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js, alongside responsive Angular frontends using HTML5 and CSS.
• Architect, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable AWS cloud environments using services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices supporting efficient data flow across application layers.
• Guide technical teams, conduct code reviews, establish development best practices, and drive CI/CD initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and UI/UX designers in an Agile environment to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 3–5 years, or Ph.D. with 0–2 years.
• Active CompTIA Security+ / IAT Level II certification and an active Secret clearance.
• US citizenship is required.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot, plus proficiency with Angular, HTML5, CSS, and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, Agile development processes, and object-oriented programming principles.

Nice to have

• SQL experience with a major database such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• API design and documentation experience with JSON or OpenAPI.
• Familiarity with Git, vulnerability analysis, and remediation.
