Senior Manager, Accounting (SaaS)

Location: Tysons, Virginia, United States; employees work from the office four days a week.

Base salary: $155,000–$170,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Own assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, consolidation, and intercompany accounting.
• Drive an accurate close calendar, review assigned accounts, and resolve close-cycle issues.
• Oversee transactional accounting operations, payments, credits, collections, aging, and processing exceptions.
• Review financial reporting schedules, support Flash reporting and quarterly flux analysis, and coordinate audit requests.
• Own SOX key controls, including documentation, testing support, and remediation of control gaps.
• Manage and develop accounting managers and individual contributors while partnering with Finance, Accounting, Technical Accounting, and business teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and an active CPA license.
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including corporate accounting and monthly close ownership.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience managing both managers and individual contributors.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and hands-on experience with a major ERP.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; new employment authorization sponsorship or other immigration-related support is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS, subscription, or technology industries.
• Experience in a SOX-compliant, publicly traded environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or a modern cloud ERP such as Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
