Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; on-site

Compensation: $215,000–$260,000 per year plus bonus; restricted stock units included.

What you will do

• Drive infrastructure security posture management and cloud-native visibility across cloud and on-premises environments using tools such as Wiz.
• Establish Terraform-based infrastructure-as-code standards with secure defaults, immutability, and drift detection.
• Build automated security guardrails into CI/CD and deployment pipelines.
• Operate security platforms for secrets management and certificate lifecycles, including X.509 and SSH machine-to-machine trust.
• Design identity-centric access controls using short-lived, just-in-time access, Zero Trust, and automated authorization policies.
• Secure DNS, service discovery, network authentication, and other foundational systems while partnering with infrastructure, platform, and SRE teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, SRE, or security engineering.
• Deep understanding of security across Linux, container runtimes, and cloud control planes.
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-environment infrastructure at scale with Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of cryptography, secrets management, PKI, and modern authentication standards.
• Experience securing AWS, GCP, and/or bare-metal environments, with strong networking fundamentals covering routing, segmentation, firewalls, and Zero Trust architectures.
• Hands-on Kubernetes and container security experience, plus fluency in Go or Python for automation and tooling.

Nice to have

• Experience securing high-scale cloud or AI infrastructure.
• End-to-end Zero Trust identity architecture experience.
• Familiarity with bare-metal provisioning and data center security.
• Experience building internal security platforms such as Vault-as-a-Service.
• Enterprise-scale experience with Wiz or similar CSPM platforms.
