PLM Solutions Engineer (PLM)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 annually

What you will do

• Install, configure, and operate PTC Windchill or Siemens Teamcenter across development, test, and production environments.
• Lead PLM upgrades, patches, migrations, and post-go-live hypercare with minimal disruption.
• Manage application and web servers, databases, method servers, file vaults, replication services, and CAD data management subsystems.
• Implement high-availability and disaster-recovery strategies and optimize performance through query tuning, caching, indexing, and JVM tuning.
• Operate integration brokers and middleware connectors, monitor platform health, and automate operational tasks with shell, Python, or Ansible.
• Maintain technical documentation, support incident resolution and root-cause analysis, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• U.S. work authorization is required; eligible applicants include U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, and H-1B transfer candidates.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least five years of PLM platform administration experience and production experience with Windchill or Teamcenter.
• Strong experience with PLM upgrades, migrations, HA/DR, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
• Working knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server administration and strong Linux/Unix administration skills.
• Experience with PLM integration brokers, middleware, and scripting in shell, Python, or Ansible.

Nice to have

• Experience operating PLM platforms on AWS, Azure, or OCI.
• Infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD experience for PLM change management.
• PTC or Siemens PLM certifications.
• Experience with CAD integration patterns at scale.
