Systems Engineer III (Motion Control)

Location: Remote - US; travel up to 30% and occasional work in office, engineering lab, production, or customer environments may be required.

Salary: $117,920–$176,300 per year, depending on geographic market.

What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate, and implement complex motion products and systems.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional stakeholders to translate application needs into technical requirements and solutions.
• Support system architecture decisions, optimize product performance, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate technical and operational risks throughout product development and integration.
• Define and execute verification and validation activities to support product compliance and successful project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and leadership to engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, motion control, mechatronics, automation, or a related product development environment.
• Strong knowledge of stepper, servo, and piezo motion systems, encoders, motor drivers, controllers, communication protocols, and related software.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems, make sound engineering decisions, and manage ambiguity.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, mentoring, prioritization, and technical leadership skills.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, use personal protective equipment, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds with assistance.
