Director, Performance and Reliability (AI Security)

Compensation: $366,300–$680,200 USD annual total target compensation

What you will do

• Own the architecture, technical strategy, and roadmap for the Universal Connector Framework supporting SaaS, IaaS, AI platforms, and enterprise applications.
• Lead, hire, mentor, and develop senior engineers while owning delivery, reliability, scalability, and engineering standards.
• Build an AI-first engineering practice using Claude Code, Cursor, and Copilot with safeguards for code quality and security.
• Create reusable Claude skills and workflows for connector patterns, authentication flows, and metadata normalization.
• Drive LLM-based Shadow AI discovery and telemetry ingestion for AI Security Posture Management.
• Guide distributed Go and Python workers that extract metadata, permissions, and lineage and perform resilient, high-scale scanning across hybrid-cloud environments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of backend or data engineering experience focused on integrations, ETL, or API-first systems.
• 4+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
• Experience architecting and shipping connector or integration platforms for major SaaS and cloud ecosystems at scale.
• Strong Go and/or Python skills for high-concurrency and high-throughput systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, Kafka or RabbitMQ, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and the judgment to guide their use in an engineering team.

Nice to have

• Experience leading an SDK or developer platform.
• Knowledge of identity and permission models in SharePoint, Workday, or Google Drive.
• Experience with performance profiling, MCP, custom-agent development, security, privacy, or AISPM.
• Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j or Neptune.
