Material Handler Contractor Conversions (EV & Energy Storage)

Location: Onsite in De Soto, Kansas; valid authorization to work in the United States without restriction is required

Panasonic Energy produces lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage applications.

What you will do

• Deliver raw materials and components to production areas according to schedules and demand.
• Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks, walkie riders, and other mobile equipment.
• Inspect incoming materials, prepare documentation, conduct inventory checks, and monitor material flow.
• Identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements to inventory tracking, documentation, and logistics processes.
• Train peers and support onboarding for new team members.
• Follow SOPs and safety requirements, maintain a clean workspace under 6S principles, and perform equipment checks.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of prior experience in the functional area.
• Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and speaking is required.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment and remain flexible across scheduled shifts.
• Ability to stand for most of the workday and frequently lift or carry up to 20 pounds; occasional team lifting is required for heavier items.
• All candidates must have valid unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.; pre-employment drug testing is required.

Nice to have

• One to two years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
• Experience operating forklifts or walkies.
• OSHA-compliant forklift operator certification.
• HAZMAT or OSHA 10-hour/30-hour General Industry certification.
• Familiarity with chemical and oil labeling and storage.
