TL;DR
Director, Regional Partnerships & Programs (Civics Education): Driving regional growth through school and district partnerships, fee-for-service contracts, and implementation of community-based civics programs with an accent on partnership sustainability, program quality, and team leadership. Focus on managing program managers, using performance data to guide strategy, developing regional advocacy initiatives, and overseeing budgets and funder relationships.

Location: New England Region (Massachusetts, Vermont, and Connecticut), United States; primarily remote with hybrid in-person requirements and travel of up to 20%.

Salary: $91,817 per year.

What you will do

  • Drive regional growth by recruiting school and district partners and securing fee-for-service contracts.
  • Steward school and district partnerships toward long-term program sustainability.
  • Lead, coach, and develop regional program managers while overseeing implementation quality and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate Civics Day showcases, teacher professional development institutes, regional meetings, retreats, and staff learning activities.
  • Set annual program goals, manage the regional program budget, and guide sustainable use of program funds.
  • Partner on fundraising, grant reporting, policy advocacy, elected-official engagement, and regional civic initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of nonprofit or education experience, including 3+ years in partnership recruitment and development.
  • Experience working with middle or high school students, educators, and administrators, with familiarity with education standards, curriculum development, and school priorities.
  • Experience managing diverse teams with varying levels of seniority.
  • Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, and manage multiple workstreams.
  • Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel regularly within New England and beyond are required.
  • Compliance with local, federal, and site-based COVID-19 vaccination requirements is required.

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience in a classroom or adult learning setting.
  • Experience with data-informed evaluation to improve program scalability and organizational alignment.
