Junior Editor (Science)

What you will do

• Build structured string-outs and select cutdowns from field and unscripted footage.
• Log, tag, and organize footage according to content and storytelling intent.
• Create social cutdowns and platform-native edits for Instagram, X, and other distribution platforms.
• Adapt longer-form content into short-form pieces and contribute to brand sizzles and exploratory edits.
• Maintain project structures, asset libraries, and the internal video library.
• Support audio synchronization and cleanup, music sourcing, light sound design, and basic color correction.

Requirements

• Foundational assistant editor and editing skills with strong pacing and storytelling instincts.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro.
• Experience editing for social platforms and understanding platform-specific formats.
• Strong organization and attention to detail in post-production workflows.
• Willingness to work on-site full time in Dallas, TX.

Nice to have

• After Effects experience.
• Experience with AI-driven post-production tools and automation techniques.
• Interest in science, technology, and de-extinction.
